Baby Travel Pros Recommended Gear by Age

baby travel pros bouncerWhat will I need?

If you are traveling with a young child or if you are a relative preparing your home for a visit with a little one, you may be struggling with what to bring or how to prepare for the visit.  Here is a list of items to consider, based on the child’s age, to help you make your decision.

Choose the items that your child is used to using at home.  A common mistake made by parents taking their first trip with a young child is assuming the child will sleep with you or in a pack-n-play, even if they are used to sleeping in a full-size crib at home.  If your child is sleeping in a full-size crib at home, you should rent a full-size crib for your vacation.  This list is meant to be a guide when preparing for your vacation and there may be items listed that your child doesn’t use at home.  Please don’t feel that you need to rent the items that you do not use at home, however do consider trying new things for play or travel.  This could be a good time to try out a premium jogging stroller, such as those made by Phil and Ted’s or BOB, or even a jumper, before investing the money into it at home and finding you don’t like it or your child doesn’t enjoy it.
